Should a member wish to voluntarily remit a fee to this Homeowners Association for the privilege of operating a golf cart on public roads designated by the County for such traffic, they are free to do so. It is advisable to understand the laws that pertain so as not to violate them because the bylaws have it wrong. There is at least one bylaw present that, if adhered to, could lead to arrest and impoundment of your cart if you’re caught.
From the October 2024 newsletter;
I want to give a huge thank you to Karen McCarthy, Theresa Wilson, Helen Curtis, Glenda Woodard and Carole Doswell, these women spent over 7 hours straight, reading and removing duplicates from our bylaws, going all the way back to 1960. Helen is going to put them into an easier to read format and add to the website.
We would like to see those recorded bylaws from 1960 they went back to or any bylaws from the sixties. Of course, the association needs to be able and willing to enforce any restriction it enacts. This is only one example of the many sections of the governing documents that the directors are unwilling or unable to enforce. Think what those women could have accomplished in 7 hours if they had the slightest clue about directing this association! You have a bunch of sheep following an uninformed shepherd.
